Texas Hold 'Em has quickly emerged as one of the most popular poker games in the online gaming community. The game has massive appeal and attracts many people to give poker a try. Of course, in order to play the game you need to know the rules. So, here is a brief rundown on how to play Texas Hold 'Em.
All the players at the table are dealt two cards. These cards are kept private and none of the other players can see the cards. Then, five "community" cards are dealt face up and placed in the center of the table. Players then pick and chose their five card hand based on the community cards as well as the two cards they have in the hole.
Four rounds of betting follow that occurs by going around the table in a clockwise direction. Of course, the players that have the strongest hands will win. Now, in the case of a tie both players will share the pot. Does that sound simple? If it does it is because it is! Yes, Texas Hold 'Em is a relatively simple game and that is why it is a game that attracts the most professional poker players.
Please note: just because the rules are simple does not mean the game is easy. Actually, a great deal of skill is required to be successful in the game. But, if you play long enough you will eventually develop that skill. Who knows? Perhaps this will lead to a lucrative new career if you skills reach a professional level!
